CCB returns to the Walnut Room for the summer concert season, and have we got a line up for you! We will be joined by our friends the Melanie Susuras Band and very special guest Lauren Shera, currently on tour with Shawn Colvin. Lauren opens from 7:00 - 7:30, CCB performs a full concert (2 sets) from 7:30 - 9:30, and MSB follows at 9:30.

For those of you new to the Walnut Room, this American Pizzeria serves up great food, affordable drinks, and some of the best live entertainment in town. The intimate concert venue was voted “Best Small Venue” by both the Westword and The Denver Post. Along with a full bar, the Nut serves up a delicious assortment of sandwiches and signature pizzas. About Your Wacky Show Hosts
There are a lot of sides to CCB; some of you have seen us in multiple contexts. We have a contemplative spiritual side and a full-on rockin’ out side, and tonight’s show will have some of both! We’re working up some new songs from the upcoming album (gasp – I said it!) . . . it’s still barely in the concept stage, but the tunes are emerging, and we’re thrilled to debut them for you! Plus we’ll have some of our usual pandemonium, which I just discovered means either “a wild uproar” or “the capitol of Hell.” Hmm . . .

We’re pleased to share the show this evening with the Melanie Susuras Band, long-time friends who seriously know how to do the night right! MSB is acoustic folk-rock at its finest, with Melanie Susuras on lead vocals and acoustic guitars, Amanda Ray on keys and vocals, David D2 Derby on drums, Eddie Garcia on lead guitar, and Jon Burquest on bass. In 1999, after the release of her intimate debut CD Barefoot Again, Melanie won the coveted Denver Lilith Fair Talent Search and shared the stage with Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, The Dixie Chicks, and the Indigo Girls. Tonight we have a surprise opening act as well: fresh in the midst of her tour with Shawn Colvin, Monterey, CA recording artistLauren Shera.
